Our EV Strategy
Our dual-fuel strategy involves proactively developing its infrastructure in anticipation of the growing demand for electric vehicles (EVs), complementing its existing fuel and retail business to facilitate a seamless transition to a cleaner environment. The £400 million investment in EVs is entirely self-funded, derived from the cash generated by the existing business.
In our commitment to ensuring an effortless, secure, and dependable charging experience for drivers, we provides multiple chargers on our EV charging hubs.

How do I pay?
To make charging easy, all chargers on our network support contactless payment. In addition, drivers can also use the SP Connect App and various roaming providers.
How much does it costs?
Our current tariff is £0.79 per kWh. If you are a roaming customer, rates may vary, please check with your service provider.
What speed are SP chargers?
As an ultra-rapid charging network, we’re here to provide fast, reliable DC charging. At our hubs, we currently operate 150kW and 300kW chargers. There are also a number of 50kW chargers across our network at smaller locations.
Is SP EV Power sustainable?
Yes, all of our electricity is REGO certified 100% renewable.
How many electric chargers will be there at each site?
At our EV charging hubs, you can expect to find between 4-8 ultra-rapid charging bays.
Do I need to stay with my car whilst it charges?
No. You can use the SP Connect App to monitor your charging progress while enjoying the on-site facilities. However, drivers should adhere to on-site parking policies and not remain in charging bays after charging has completed
How long will it take to charge?
A car charging at the full 150 kW speed can add approximately 100 miles of range in 10 minutes. Exact charging times can vary depending on your vehicle’s maximum charging speed and its respective charging curve
Which electric vehicles can use SP EV chargers
Our ultra-rapid chargers are suitable for all vehicles which use CCS or CHAdeMO charging connectors.
